Tools -> Transfer -> PC -> LOGO!

You can use this menu command to download a circuit diagram created with the LOGO!Soft Comfort from PC to the LOGO! Base Module. You can also use the button in the standard toolbar for such purpose.

Download to LOGO! 9

When downloading from LOGO!Soft Comfort to LOGO! 9, you can choose to download the circuit diagram with device configuration.

Transfer configuration

Shows the connected LOGO! BM information: IP address, firmware version, the user name and user role.

Configurations before the download:

Diagram type: select whether to download the circuit diagram with or without the BM device configuration.

Device setting: if you enable Auto Start Device, the BM will start running the diagram automatically after the successful download.

If you choose not to enable it, LOGO!Soft Comfort will remind you whether to start BM after the download completes successfully.

SD card setting: if you enable Copy to SD card, the circuit diagram (with or without the device configuration) will be copied into the SD card in the BM after the successful download.

Other possible options: Overwrite IP Address and Device Name, Overwrite IP Address, Overwrite Device Name, AI setting. These checkboxes are only available when the configurations (IP information, device name, AI setting) on the BM are different from those on LSC. Check the boxes to overwrite with the configuration from LSC.

Note the warning messages on the window before starting the transfer.

Transfer process

After clicking Start Transfer, the transfer starts. You can see the detailed transferring process messages and the time in the window. LOGO!Soft Comfort will remind you in the window if the download succeeds or fails.

Preparations

Prior to the download, the system determines the minimum LOGO! version required for your circuit program. The modular LOGO! always provides all available I/O resources for your circuit program. You are free to install an appropriate number of expansion modules in the base device.

Error messages

LOGO!Soft Comfort aborts the transfer and displays an error message if the LOGO! Base Module does not have enough resources for program transfer. The error dialog displays unknown LOGO! versions prompts you to continue or cancel the download.

The status bar displays transfer messages and the Info Window displays transfer messages as well as detailed error messages.

Layout recovery (0BA8 and later versions only)

When you download a circuit program (FBD only) to your LOGO! Base module, LOGO!Soft Comfort also downloads the program layout. The LOGO!Soft Comfort reads the layout information and recovers it automatically when you open it again.

The layout memory size in a LOGO! Basic is up to 512 KB. You can check the available memory size from the info window by determining LOGO! before saving a circuit diagram.
