Tools -> Transfer -> Email Settings (0BA8 and later versions only)

This command allows configured email groups to receive customized notification email from the connected BM at trigger events.

For LOGO! 9 and later versions devices, Email settings are available both in Offline settings and Online settings in LSC. If you configure the email settings in online settings, LOGO!Soft Comfort requires that you confirm the connection interface for each communication attempt. See "Tools -> Transfer" for complete information.

SMTP Settings

LOGO! BM uses SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) to send emails to the configured receivers.

Follow below steps to finish SMTP setting:

  1. Input all required SMTP server information. You can get all the required SMTP configuration information from certain mail server official document.

    Note

    LOGO!Soft Comfort supports three types of connection security: TCP (unencrypted), STARTTLS and TLS. If you choose STARTTLS or TLS, for communication security, you can choose to upload CA certificate to verify the SMTP server. If the verification fails, then the configured emails cannot be sent out successfully, and you can check the error log in BM through: Diagnostics → Mail → Mail Logs. Refer to Troubleshooting to learn more about email sending error.

  2. Click Verify SMTP setting button to verify your SMTP setting. The Send test email dialog pops up.

  3. Input appropriate email addresses to receive the test email. Use semicolon to separate each email address apart when inputting more than one email address.

  4. Click Send test email button to start the test process. The test status information displays on the dialog.

SMTP server information

LOGO! BM keeps the configured SMTP information. You can find it on BM through: Diagnostics → Email → SMTP Info.

Email receiver group settings

You can configure 8 email receiving groups at most. Each email receiving group can contain 1 KB characters at most. You can use semicolon to separate each email address apart when inputting more than one email address in the email receiving group.
