If the security configuration wizard is enabled, when you create a new diagram for LOGO! 9 (and later versions), or when you switch the hardware type to LOGO! 9 (and later versions), the Security Configuration Wizard appears to guide you through all the security related configurations.

Note If you close the wizard to cancel or discard all the security configurations, you cannot re-open the wizard for the created diagram.

Using Security Configuration Wizard

The Security Configuration Wizard provides the following optional security configurations:

• Security template

  In this wizard page, you can choose to use an existing template. If there is no existing template, you can start creating one.

  To use an existing template, click the Template field and then select one in the drop-down list. Click Apply. If you want to use part of the template, check the corresponding box of the template items.

  Click Next button to go to the next configuration item.

• Program password

  In this wizard page, you can choose to enable or disable the program password. To set the program password, refer to File -> Properties - Program password.

• Communication protocol

  Here you choose to enable ethernet connections: S7 access, LOGO! Communication and Modbus access, web server access, unauthorized IP setting, batch clock setting.

  Refer to Tools -> Ethernet Connections (0BA7 and later versions only) to learn more about ethernet connections.

• Dynamic server IP filter

  Here you can configure to access the access request from all IP or specific IP. Refer to Tools -> Transfer -> Dynamic Server IP Filter (0BA8 and later versions only) to learn the detailed configuration.

• Certificate settings

  Here you can configure the certificate strategy. Refer to Tools -> Transfer -> Certificate Settings to learn the detailed configuration.

• Trust CA settings

  Here you can manage all the trust CA certificates. Refer to LOGO! settings -> Online settings -> Trust CA settings (LOGO! 9 and later versions only) to learn the detailed configuration.

• Access control settings

  Here you can configure the user management. Refer to Tools -> Transfer -> Access control (LOGO! 9 and later versions only) to learn the detailed configuration.

• Overview

  Here the wizard displays the overview of the configurations you have done. Click Previous button or the item in the navigation menu to reach to the specific wizard page, then you can view or change the configuration.

  To save above settings as a security configuration template, you need to name the template, then click Save.

  Here you can choose to disable the Security Configuration Wizard by checking the box "Do not show this dialog again". You can also enable or disable the Security Configuration Wizard in the menu command Tools -> Options: Security.

  You can also manage the security configuration templates in the Device settings through menu command File -> Properties - Template.

Click Finish button to complete the security configuration and close the wizard. Then the LOGO! settings window appears automatically for further device configuration. You can either continue to configure the device or close the window.
