Adding a new device

After you create a new project, you can start to design your network and add devices.

  1. Double-click Add new device in the Network project tree.

  2. Select Device in the Device list.

  3. Set the IP address, subnet mask and the Gateway for the device in the configuration dialog. You can also change the device name in this window.

    To set the security configurations, for LOGO! 9.0 (or later versions) and LOGO! 9 TDE, you can select to use an existing security configuration template. For LOGO! 9.0 (or later versions) device, if not using a template, the Security Configuration Wizard (if not disabled) will appear to guide your through all the security related configurations. Refer to Configuring security settings (LOGO! 9 and later versions only) to learn the detailed information.

Alternatively, you can click the Add new device button in Networking toolbar to add a new device.

Note

When you add a new device in the Network view of project mode, LOGO!Soft Comfort automatically creates a new circuit program and displays it in the diagram editor. See "Creating a new circuit program", for more information.
